From the "History of Washington County, Arkansas": Arnold and his wife, Delia, loved their mountain top farm. Delia enjoyed tending her vegetable garden near her home overlooking the hills and valleys, amidst the southerly breeze she felt the peacefulness in the beautiful surroundings and expressed her desire of the chosen plot where she could eventually rest eternally. She became fatally ill in the lush spring season and died May 25, 1932. Abiding her request, the garden was prepared for burial and Delia was laid to rest in her "Garden of Dreams".
