Marion Alvin Stone, 66 years, 4 months, and 27 days of age, of the Cundiff community of Pulaski County, Kentucky, departed this life at his home (Route #1 Somerset) following a stroke of appoplexy on Tuesday morning, September 7th, 1937.

Marion was born on April 11th, 1871, son of the late Alfred Stone and Ibby Reynolds Stone. He was a very substantial and highly respected citizen of Pulaski County.

Marion was survived by three sons, Cyrus Stone, Otto Stone, and Orville Stone all of Somerset, Kentucky; two daughters, Savannah Florence (and John) King, and Irene (and Robert) Vaught both of Somerset, Kentucky; and a host of friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ibby Stone; his wife, Linnie E. Stone; one daughter, Stella M. Stone; and an infant son, Delbert L. Stone.

He had three brothers, James Wilson Stone, William Jack Stone and John Franklin Stone; and four sisters, Stacy Elizabeth Ann Stone, Permelia Susan Stone, Mary Lou Stone and Frances Jane Stone.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, September 8th, 1937 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. W.A. Reese officiating.

Burial followed in the Bishop Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
