Brenda Lou Down, 60, of 200 Roberta Drive, widow of James E. Down, died Sunday, August 13, 2006 at her residence.
Born in Florida, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Roberta Downy Crawford.
Mrs. Down was retired from Geico Insurance Company.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah A. Maydak; a son, Brian Scott Down; a sister, Beverly J. Palmer; a brother, Bobby Crawford; two grandsons, Camden and Tanner; and very special friends, Steven and Ashley Estes.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara K. Cantrell and a brother, William A. Crawford, Jr.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2006 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services and burial will be held in Virginia.
