She is survived by two sons, Steve (Regenia Hein) Frye and Richard (Sheila) Frye both of Bartonville; two daughters, Mary E. (Dan) Meyer of Peoria and Ann (Jim) Barborinas of Mt. Vernon, WA; eleven grandchildren, Ryan Frye of Tipp City, OH, Adam (Nicole) Frye of Swartz Creek, MI, Stephanie Frye (Rob Geddes) of Cambridge, MA, Kevin (Megan) Frye of Hanna City, Dana Frye of Peoria, Erica (Grant) Abenroth of Peoria, Emily Burwell of Peoria, Elizabeth (Blake) Webb of Brimfield, Erin (Ryan) Schatsiek of Washington, IL, Lisa (Joel) Liefke of Langley, WA and Zachary (Adele) Barborinas of Mt. Vernon, WA; ten great-grandchildren, Austin, Elena and Lucy Frye, Caroline, Jacob and Anna Abenroth, Alec and Eliana Burwell, Travis Webb and Kaeden Schatsiek; and one sister, Jean Willoughby of Tucson, Arizona.
She was a graduate of the Academy of Our Lady and attended OSF St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Frye and her husband were secretary and manager of the Illinois Angus Association in the late 1950's and 1960's. Mrs. Frye was a part of Expo Gardens and the Heart of Illinois Fair for 40 years, 30 years of which she served as General Manager. She was a member of several fair oriented associations including, the International Association of Fairs and Expositions, where she served as a Director for four years; Midwest Fairs Association, serving as President; Outdoor Amusement Business; International Entertainment Association; attained certified fair executive status in 1982; National Independent Concessionaires Association and Illinois Association of Agriculture Fairs, where she was honored by Governor Thompson as Fair Person of the Year in 1988, and a Friend of Illinois County Fairs in 2003.
Services were entrusted to Wright and Salmon Mortuary of Peoria, Illinois.
