Born July 3, 1927, in Staunton, Va., she was the daughter of the late Shirley and Daisy Berry Southard.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church at Shenandoah Junction.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Mervin G. Ryman; three daughters, Kay Maconaughey, Inwood, Reba Weller, Shepherdstown, and Joan Ryman, Shenandoah Junction; three sisters, Annie Dudley, Inwood, Mida Corso, Frederick, Md., and Virginia Watkins, Charles Town; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Eileen Chapman; and one brother, Edwin Southard.
Services were held last Friday at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Campbell officiated and burial was in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
