Sylvia M. Baxter, 81, of Road 550N died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 1993, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Norman Funeral Home at Hope, with the Rev. Dale Branstetter officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Mrs. Baxter was born in Johnson county, July 22, 1911, the daughter of James and Anna Fraker Dowden. She married Fred Baxter Feb. 10, 1930. He survives.
Survivors also include a son, Morris Baxter of Greensburg; daughters, Phyllis Trisler of Road 550N and Shirley Davis of Road 600N; brothers, Russell, Harold and William Dowden, all of Columbus; a sister, Doris Turner of Columbus; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Baxter; and brothers, Arnold, Cecil and Ed Dowden.
