Marilyn Anne Hill of Fredericksburg, VA, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, October 11, 2001, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. Born on July 25, 1947, she was the daughter of James L. and Esther M. (Hall) Hill.

Surviving are her mother, Esther Hill of Bedford, IN; two sisters, Carolyn A. Hill (her twin) of Fredericksburg, VA, and Sherry M. Cummings of Bedford, IN; and several aunts,, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James, in March 1986; one brother, James R. Hill in 1981; maternal grandparents, Oral L. and Addie (Jackson) Hall; and paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Monclova (Fields) Hill.

She was a medical lab technician in Ft. Belvoir, VA. and was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of the John Wallace Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.

There will be a memorial service for Marilyn Hill at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Gary Cornwell officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
