Private First Class Clarence Joseph Andruss was killed in action on Sunday, June 18th, 1944 on the Island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands. He was serving with L Company, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, Second Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force when he died. Rest in peace.
