Carolyn Ann Hill of Fredricksburg, VA, formerly of Bedford, IN, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 18, 2001 at her residence. Born on July 25, 1947, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of James L. and Esther M. (Hall) Hill.

Surviving are her mother, Esther Hill of Bedford, IN; one sister, Sherry M. Cummings of Bedford, IN; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James Hill on March 17, 1986; one brother, James R. Hill on June 20, 1981; and one sister, Marilyn Anne Hill (her twin) on October 11, 2001; maternal grandparents, Oral L. and Addie (Jackson) Hall; and paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Monclova (Fields) Hill.

She was a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army, retiring after twenty years due to disability. A 1965 graduate of Bedford High School, she attended Indiana University and was a member of John Wallace Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was of the Christian faith.

There will be a memorial service for Carolyn Hill at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1st, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Gary Cornwell officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
