“Mrs. Dean Dies From Injuries
PIONEER LADY SUFFERED DISLOCATED HIP THROUGH A FALL SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
   Died Tuesday Evening--Mother of Frank A. Dean--Funeral Thursday
   Mrs. Dianatha Dean, highly respected pioneer resident of this Vicinity, died at her home Tuesday evening from the effects of a dislocated hip, sustained in a fall on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Dean was in her 90th year and the family knew from the first there was littled likelihood that she could long stand the shock. Her son, Frank A. Dean, the well known attorney, was notified at his summer home at Gaylord and reached home before she died. Florence Hooker, a daughter, is touring Europe this summer with a party of friends. Mrs. Charles F. Sattler, another daughter, has lived next door to the parental home for many years, ministering to the mother’s wants with a loving tenderness. The funeral was beld at the home Thursday afternoon.
   Was Born In Ohio in 1831
   Mrs. Dean was born in Braceville, Ohio, in 1831, and came to Michigan in the fall of 1849. She came ahead of her parents as her oldest sister, Mrs. McDaniel, was already here. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Allen, settled in Chester Center, now Gresham, and were of the kind of people ………….….”
