Born Dec. 14, 1914, in Tranquility, NJ, he was a son of the late Halloway and Gertrude Wildrick Hendershot. He lived in Hackettstown all his life.
Mr. Hendershot was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife, the former Cecelia Reedell; two sons, Richard of Long Beach, Calif., and Donald of Hackettstown; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Cramer, Allamuchy, and Mrs. Emma Stoddard, Hackettstown, and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Cochran Funeral Home, Hackettstown. Internment will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows.
