William Fleming, aged ninety-three years, died suddenly at his home in Centerville, near White Heath, Saturday morning. He had been in his usual good health and been over to the neighbors and left saying he would go and get his dinner. After a little time, not seeing any smoke issuing from his chimney, they went over to investigate, and found him dead on the bed. One lid was off the cook stove and he evidently had started to make the fire when stricken. Coroner Porter was summoned from Monticello and held the inquest. The body was taken to an undertaking establishment and Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock taken to Monticello cemetery for interment. Short services were held at the grave by Rev. R. B. Fisher.
