Lt. Thomas Tracy of Gloucestershire, England came to America in 1637. His son, John, b. 1642 married 17 Aug 1670, Mary Winslow, daughter of Josiah Winslow. They had five children, the fourth being Winslow Tracy, b. 9 Feb 1689, m 21 June 1714 Rachel Ripley, dau. of Joshua & Hannah Bradford Ripley. Their fifth son, Nehemiah married 19 June 1744 Susan Smith, the eldest of 13 being Nehemiah, 2nd. who m. Lucy Olmstead and removed from E. Haddam, Conn. to Smithfield in 1810.

Note for Researchers: Neither of Winslow's parents were Mayflower descendants. Winslow's mother Mary Winslow was the daughter of Josiah Winslow, a younger brother of Gov. Edward Winslow, the only one of the the Winslow brothers to arrive on the Mayflower. Winslow's wife Rachel Ripley was a descendant of Gov. William Bradford. But, that only makes Winslow the father of Mayflower descendants, but not a Mayflower descendant himself. (Thanks to Don Blauvelt)
