"Funeral services will be held at the Bandfield Funeral Home at Portland Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. for Pvt. David Bandfield, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bandfield.
Pvt. Bandfield was killed last Friday night when the motorcycle he was riding struck a truck at Wichita Falls, Texas.
He was a former Michigan State college student.
Pvt. Bandfield enlisted in the army in the fall of 1949 and was serving at Witchita Falls when he was killed.
Surviving besides his parents who operate a funeral home and furniture store at Portland are a sister, Annis, and a brother, Thomas, both of Portland.
