Masonic graveside services were held Monday afternoon at Bean Cemetery near Little River for former resident Vance Ainsworth, 56, of Manhattan. Mr. Ainsworth died Friday morning at his home from cancer.
Born Walland Vance Ainsworth, on May 19, 1921, at San Bernadino, Calif., he was the son of the late Art and Ethel Ainsworth of Little River. He married Betty Rutherford, Oct. 5, 1943 at Little River. He was a member of Lyons United Methodist Church, BPOE and American Legion at Manhattan and Cornerstone Lodge No. 219 AF&AM, Little River.
He is survived by his widow; three sons, Michael of Clovis, N.M.; Scott and Curtis of the home and a daughter, Patricia Schwerdt of the home and two granddaughters. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Rutherford of Little River are parents-in-law.
