Harry Gilbert Coffman

Harry Gilbert Coffman of 1509 Penn Street, Huntingdon, passed away in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, January 21, 1958, at 12:05 p. m. He had been a patient in the hospital for the past six weeks.

The deceased was born in Mifflin County, a son of Daniel and Nancy (Elliott) Coffman. He was united in marriage to Miss Myrtle Figard who survives.

He was a member of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church.

For more than 48 years he was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad. He retired 10 years ago. For over 40 years he was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by these children: Jack P. Coffman of Huntingdon, Mrs. Edwin (Doris) Colgate of McConnellstown and Fred F. Coffman of Huntingdon. Three grandchildren also survive, along with a brother and a sister: Lewis Coffman of Huntingdon and Mrs. Nora Keagel of Harrisburg. A half-sister, Mrs. C. A. Waite of Huntingdon, also survives.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p. m. at Green's funeral home in Huntingdon. Dr. Ferdinand Derk, pastor of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church, will officiate and interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home until the hour for the service.
