A.A. "Dude" Hannan, 93, Haviland, formerly of Chapman, died Saturday, May 31, 1997 at a rest home in Pratt.

He was born November 16, 1903, near Chapman in Dickinson County, the son of William and Anna Marie Nicholson Hannan. He was a farmer and stockman and lived south of Wellsford near the Kiowa-Pratt county line since 1931. He later moved into Haviland.

He had served on the Wellsford School Board and the Democratic County Committee.

He was married to Dorothy Eunice Lungren, November 24, 1926 in Manhattan. She died August 31, 1994. A grandchild and a great grandchild also preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney L. Hannan, Haviland, and Victor A. Hannan, Roca, NE.; five daughters, Audrey G. McMullen and Franky K Graham, both in Wichita, Cledrey Lewis, Haviland, Rebecca Stonebraker, Great Bend, and Mary Patee, Arvada, Co.; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Haviland. Burial will be in Haviland Cemetery.
