Mrs. Abbott was born in Star, Md., to the late Frederick J. and Elizabeth Bennett Weiss and had been a resident of Georgetown for more than 30 years. She most recently worked in the aircraft industry with her husband. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter-in-law and will be greatly missed by her family and all whom she touched. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred J. Weiss; and two sisters, Jeannette R. Orgaino and Elizabeth Virginian "Betty" Weiss.
She is survived by her loving and friend and husband of 30 years; a son and daughter-in-law of Georgetown; a daughter and son-in-law of Millsboro; three grandchildren; two sisters; a brother of Harrington and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
Flowers are accepted and a celebration of Bobbie's life will be held at the Georgetown Fire Department, South Bedford Street, immediately following the services.
