Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in All Saints, Waccamaw Protestant Episcopal Church with the Rev. Charles A. Robinson III officiating. Burial was in the church year under the direction of Mayer Funeral Home.
Mr. Allston, a son of the late Charles Pettigru Allston and the late Mrs. Emily Lowndes Allston, was born November 1, 1881, in Flat Rock NC. He was reared at the family plantation Windsor, and attended Clemson College. During World War I he was a member of the 117th and the well known Rainbow Division. Mr. Allston was a real estate dealer and had been associated with the Georgetown County Health Department. He was a member of All Saints Protestant Episcopal Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jane Ward Allston of Pawleys Island; a brother John E. Allston of Pawleys Island and a sister Miss Susan Lowndes Allston of Georgetown.
