Allen H. Hood died at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Summit Hospital, Baton Rouge. He was 85, a resident of Denham Springs and native of Livingston. Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Thursday and Friday. Religious services were at the funeral home chapel on Friday, conducted by the Rev. Paul Jones. Interment was in Salem Cemetery, Walker. HE is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Shirley Hood, Baton Rouge; a step-daughter, Margie Bridges, Clarksdale, Miss.; four grandchildren, Michael, Danielle, Shannon and Regina Hood; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie May Hood; parents, Louis and Pearl Hood; and a brother, Otto Hood. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Baton Rouge.
