DENISON - Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Faris, 88, Denison, died Friday at her home. She had been ill several years. She was born September 29, 1886, at Mayetta. She lived at Mayetta before moving to Denison in 1965. She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian church at Denison.
She was married August 30, 1911 to Henry Faris at Denison. He died September 25, 1966. A son, Willard Faris, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Erma Bruce, Kansas City, Mrs. Esther Kennedy, Pierce, Colo. and Eleanor Faris, of the home; 2 sons, the Rev. Paul E. Faris, Lisbon, NY, and Harold H. Faris, Kansas City; 2 brothers, Albert D. McCrory and Charles McCrory, both of Mayetta; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at the Reformed Presbyterian Church at Denison with burial in Denison Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home at Holton is in charge of arrangements.
