Frankie "Frank" Alfred Enderud, 79, of Arkansas City, KS passed away October 4, 2023 at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
Frank was born on April 11, 1944 in Nogent, France to parents Louis Emil Enderud and Micheline Celestine (Valton) Enderud. Frank attended rural Cowley County grade schools and the Augusta High School.
He served in the US Navy for a short time and later in the US Army. Frank was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ruby Joyce Fudge, on April 16, 1965 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Frank worked at Skyline Homes and later at Viola Industries as a welder for many years and retired when they closed. Frank enjoyed working on model cars, fixing lawn mowers, welding and was an avid movie watcher, he was also a member of the American Legion Post 18.
Ruby Joyce Enderud, 87, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield, KS.
Ruby was born February 19, 1936 to parents Harold Leroy Fudge and Hazel (Berger) Fudge. She was born in Leon, KS and graduated from Augusta, KS High School. Ruby was married to the love of her life, Frank Alfred Enderud, on April 16, 1965. She was a homemaker and liked genealogy and studying her family history. Ruby enjoyed quilting, reading, watching soap operas, and being at home.
Survivors include their daughters, Susan Leaming (Richard), Judy Mayfield (Devlin), Ann Sanborn, Carol Brown (Chebon), 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, Frank's brothers Bill Enderud (Rita), Tommie Enderud Sr., and daughter-in-law Lesa Enderud.
Frank and Ruby are preceded in death by their parents, son James Enderud, and sister-in-law, Nancy Enderud.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 13, 2023 at Parker Cemetery in Arkansas City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City to defray expenses.
