Blanche Combs, 72, of Fenton, formerly of Myrtle, died Sunday, April 3, 1988 in St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis. She was born Jan. 31, 1916 at Myrtle, the daughter of Duran and Ella Cantrell Crase.
She was married April 27, 1932 at Myrtle, to Clyde Combs, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Cotton Creek Church.
Survivors include five children, David Combs of Pawpaw, MI; Geneva Janes of Davenport, IA; Geraldine Prehn of East Alton, IL; Eureta Rackley of New Bern, NC; and Karen Mitchener of Fenton, MO; three brothers, Lawrence Crase of Thayer, MO; Homer Crase of Barnhart, MO; and Calvin Crase of Springfield, MO; one half-brother, Ruble Crase of West Plains, MO; two sisters, Lois Bauer of Tulsa, OK; and Evelyn Harrison of Everton, MO; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one half-brother, Jewell Crase.
Visitation will be Tuesday at the Carter Chapel, Thayer. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 6, 1988 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, Thayer, with Gary Mitchener officiating. Burial will be in Cotton Creek Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Thayer.
