Owens, Alonzo-Age 71, of the Pine Hill Community, passed away suddenly Thursday, April 14, at the Scott County Hospital. He was the son of the late Houk Owens and the late Settie "Mixon" Owens. He was preceded also in death by one infant daughter; Oleda Owens; one sister: Mary Owens; and one brother: Frank Owens. He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. William (Freeda) Stringfellow of Trotwood, Ohio, and Mrs. Manuel (Loretta) Strunk of Helenwood, Tenn.; three sons, Wayne Owens, Rodger D. Owens, both of Trotwood, Ohio, and Charles M. Owens of Amherst, Ohio, four sisters: Mrs. Hobert (Effie) Hall of Harriman, Tenn., Mrs. Lawrence (Ethel) Phillips of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cora Jones and Flora Gilbert, both of the Pine Hill Community; one brother: Lewis Owens of the Pine Hill Community; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
