She was born April 25, 1943 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late Wendell Goodwin and Geraldine (Darby) Goodwin.
She graduated from South Union High School in 1961 and retired as a credit manager of Hughes Market Corp. in Glendale Calif. after many years of dedicated service.
Her membership affiliations are as follows: Chief Tanacharison Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists (Regent), Great Meadows Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, U.S. Daughters of 1812, Uniontown Business and Professional Women, Volunteer usher at the State Theater for the Arts and Geyer Theater in Scottdale, Pa., Friendship Hill Association, Saint Andrew's Society of Pittsburgh and Saint David's Society of Pittsburgh.
Linda is survived by her husband of 34 years, William J. Hubbard of Uniontown, Pa.; a son, William L. Waddell of Uniontown; two sisters: Bonnie Brown of San Diego, CA and Barbara Keefer and husband, Anthony of Connellsville; two nieces: Katherine Brown Calhoun, Ph.D. and husband, Scott and Stephanie Brown Palen all of San Diego, CA; a stepson, William P. Hubbard of Los Angeles, CA; two stepdaughters: Kimberley A. Bera of San Diego, CA and Robyn Hubbard of Buffalo, NY; and two stepgrand-children: Bryce Eubank and Brian Hubbard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where friends will be received on Thursday from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 29, 2009 from 10 until 11 a.m in the funeral home followed by a service celebrating Linda's life at 11 a.m. with Rev. Roland Maust officiating.
Interment will be private.
The family suggests donations may be made in Linda's memory to Bosom Buddies, 290 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., 15401.
