12. 1912. He entered the Marine

Corps, July 2, 1941, five

months, before the oubreak of the

war, .He served In the Pacific for

many months and was. killed, in action,

December 13, 1944, in the

Philippine Islands.

Survivors in addition to his

mother include: four brothers;

Warren, East Hampton; Joseph',

Cheshire; Lewis of Southbury;. and

Harry, Beacon Falls; and one sister, Mrs. Patrick: Owens, Beacon Falls
Funeral services; will be held

Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o-'clock at

the Alderson Funeral . Home, 201

Meadow street, the Rev. T, Bradley

Longstaff, pastor, of the Naugatuck

Methodist church, officiating.

Burial will be In Grove cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral

home, Monday evening from 7 to

9 o'clock. Military arrangements ' for the
funeral will be handled by the

Beacon .Falls American- Legion

Post and the Naugatuck Valley

Detachment, Marine Corps League.

The train will stop at Naugatuck

for delivery of the body.

train at Beacon Falls, .according
to John McGeever,' commander of
the Beacon Falls American Legion
Post.
Arrangements to have the train
Stop In Beacon Falls were made
through the cooperation of the
New York, New Haven and Hartford
railroad, at the request of the
Legion .according to Commander
McGeever. The train will stop, in
Beacon Falls at 6:15 o'clock.
Cpl. Edwards was killed in
action in the Philippine Islands,
December 13, 1944. He entered the
Marine Corps July 2, 1941 and
had been overseas many months
when he was killed.
Funeral services will be held
Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at
the Aldbrson Funeral home, 201
Meadow street, the Rev. T. Bradley
Long-staff, pastor of the Naugatuck
Methodist church, officiating.
Burial will be in Grove cemetery.
