Graveside funeral services were conducted for Vester Armistead of Madison on
January 8, in Prospect Cemetery at Rutledge.
Mr. Armistead was the son of the late Jack and Mary Elder Armistead and had
resided near Madison for his entire lifeime. He was 81 years old at the time of
his death January 5, in a private hospital and was a retired farmer.
Officiating at the service was Rev. Eddie Johnson and Caldwell and Cowan
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are a brother, Edd Armistead, Oxford; sister, Mrs. George Malcom,
Covington and a number of neices and nephews.
