Mrs. Mary Magelene LaRue Akers, 64, of Rt. 3, Case Knife Rd, Pulaski died Sunday night in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born Nov. 15, 1920 in Pulaski Co, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Stephen Walter LaRue & Eller Adams LaRue. She was a charter member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Case Knife Rd, Pulaski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Raymond Akers Sr. and a son, Earl Edward Akers. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Edith) Estep, Mrs. Ronald (Wanda) Breedlove, both of Pulaski; one son, Robert Raymond (Donnie) Akers Jr. Dublin; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Harmon (Florence) Poe, Pulaski; two brothers, Steven R. (Steve) LaRue, Pulaski and John LaRue, Bassett. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the New Hope Baptist Chapel, Case Knife Rd., Pulaski with the Rev. Clayton Sweet Jr., Rev. Dale Akers, and Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Cecil's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visiting will be anytime today and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel Bob White Blvd., Pulaski. The body will be taken to the church at noon Wednesday to lie instate until the hour of service., Bower Funeral Chapel, Bob White Blvd., Pulaski is handling the arrangements.
