Ezra Roscoe Bonds, 83, of Hiwassee, passed away Saturday, April 5, 1997 in the Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by a son, Abraham Bonds. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Bonds of Snowville; four sons, Dwayne Bonds of Riner; Kegley Bonds of Snowville; James Bonds and Danny Bonds; both of Christiansburg; two daughters, Christine McNeil, and Shirley DeHart of Pilot; a stepsister, Nobie Altizer of Snowville; a stepbrother, Stant Phillips of Snowville; two half-sisters, Helen Pelky of Snowville and Edna Buckner of Radford. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday April 8 at DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Frankie Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Cecil Chapel Cemetery, Pulaski County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel of Radford is handling the arrangements.
