William Walter Lockhart was the oldest son of Walter Otty Lockhart Jr. and Mary Virginia (Bell) Lockhart. On October 14th 1911 he was wed to Sudie L. Sneed at Clayton Mo. In 1919 his father left Missouri and went to Springer New Mexico to live, but William and his family remained behind. "Will" as known by his friends and family, was a farmer, and later became a merchant in Gerald Mo., here he was well known and operated for many years. William and Sudie had 3 children. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church.
