Jasper N. Englehaupt, 83, of 106 W. Patit, died at a local hospital Tuesday.
Born April 29, 1887, in O'Neill, Neb., Englehaupt had farmed in Kansas before moving to the Washington coast. He came to the Starbuck area in 1960 and moved to Dayton after the death of his wife, Katherine, in 1968. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Dayton.
Englehaupt is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Roberts of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Mrs. Arthur (Hyla) Holcom of Cassville, Mo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are to be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dayton City Cemetery with The Rev. R. Edward Turner officiating.
