Mrs. Mabel Mae Shaffer Boyer, 87, of 510 E. Meyer Ave., died at 1:15 p.m. yesterday in Jameson Memorial Hospital after an illness of eight months. She was born in Franklin on Jan. 16, 1887, to William Henry and Laura M. Marshall Shaffer.
She was a member of the Church of God.
She married Charles N. Boyer, who died in August of 1962.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Eleanor) Altman of New Castle; two sons, Grant Arlo of New Castle and William Harold of Ellwood City; 12 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Deceased is a grandson and a great-grandson.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the William G. Tanner Mortuary, Highland and Winter Avenues, with Rev. Gary Swogger of the Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
