They were the parents of Virginia and Archie.

Ella C. Barton was born in Fulton county, Pa., Dec 27, 1860. In 1880 she was married to Jessie B. Lake, who died in 1893, leaving the wife and five children: Lina, Elsie, Warren, Clarence and Tony.
In 1898 she was married to Otis G. Akers and came to Storm Lake. To this union two children were born: Virginia and Archie. Deceased was a most excellent mother to her children and was generally loved by those who knew her. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and the funeral was held at the home last Saturday. Interment was made in the Storm Lake Cemetery.
