Thelma Louise Groce 77, of Avon, joined her beloved husband Travis Groce in heaven on Thursday, January 19, 2006.
Survivors include her children: James (Janice) Groce, Robert (Opal) Groce, Travis Jr. (Donna) Groce, Linda (Danny) Douglas, Betty Derringer, and Donna (Rob) Groce; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Travis and daughter Sandy Stallcup, two brothers and one sister.
Thelma was a loving and giving woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a devoted long time member of the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.
Services will be held at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church located at 5625 Kentucky Ave. on Monday, January 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior to service at the church. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Lynhurst Neighborhood Funeral Home 1202 S. Lynhurst Dr. She will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
