He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1948 to 1952. He was employed by National Fuel Gas Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the North Star Lodge 241 F&AM, Farrah Grotto, Coudersport Consistory, Fraternal Order of Eagles and was a past member of the Sheffield Sports Boosters.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Johnson Grosch, whom he married July 14, 1951, in Clarendon; a son, Chad Grosch of Salisbury; two daughters: Wendie Crossley of Clarendon and Daphne Goldthwaite of Sheffield, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two brothers: Karl Grosch of Warren and Russell Grosch of Clarendon.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Milton, Donald, Harold and Richard Grosch.
