In 1910 she and her husband and their three children lived in a house that they owned, mortgage free, on Craigsville Road in Clearfield Township, Butler County, PA. He worked as a house carpenter.

In 1920 she and Edward and their four children lived in a house they were renting at 314 Arthur Street in Kittanning, PA. He worked as a laborer for a gas company.

In 1930 she and her husband and their four youngest children lived there in the same house. They were paying $15 a month rent, and did not have a radio. He worked as a laborer for a gas and oil company.

In 1940 she and Edward and their three youngest children lived in a house they owned in Cowansville, PA. Their home was valued at $1400. Edward worked as a laborer for the P.W.A., with an income in 1939 of $1600 for 52 weeks of work, and William worked as a laborer for U.S. Dam, with an income in 1939 of $1092 for 28 weeks of work.

In 1950 she and her husband lived in a house on the east side of Route 268 north of West Kittanning, PA.

She died in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Milligan was a member of West Kittanning First Brethren Church and Lady Cowan Rebekah Lodge in Cowansville.
In addition to her husband, she was survived by four sons, Ralph of Kittanning MR 10, William of Kittanning RD 3, Robert of Kittanning RD 5 and Wayne of Buffalo, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Slagle of Kittanning, and Mrs. Violet Klingensmith of Rosston; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Jean Wagner of Chicago, Ill., also survives.
