Clara was a wonderful, warm-hearted, caring person. She was my husband's grandmother and was lovingly called "Nanny". His grandfather was affectionately called "Papa".

My husband spoke kindly of his grandparents; they had helped raise him, his brother, Stevie, and his sister, Debbie, when they were younger. I met his grandparents in 1974. They lived in a little pink house in Sulfur Springs, Texas.

Papa died July 2, 1976 and Nanny died in 1983. It was heart breaking to see them both pass away; they were such kind, loving people.

Our daughter, Dorothy, was born in 1978 and never had the chance to meet Papa but she met Nanny. Dorothy was named after Billy's mother, Dorothy Lee (Anthony) McDaniel.

The photos were taken in the early 1980's at Nanny's home in Sulfur Springs, Texas. They include Billy, Dorothy and Nanny.
