Aged Lansdale Man Passes
After Leg Is Amputated
Jonathan D. Moyer, of West Fourth Street, died in the Montgomery Hospital, Norristown, on Saturday evening following the amputation of his leg on Saturday morning. He was eighty-one years old.
Mr. Moyer had been bedfast for the past two months and a final effort was made to save his life through the operation. he was a former resident of East Walpole, Massachusetts, and moved to Lansdale nine years ago. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale. He was born and raised in Eashbock, Pa.
Mrs. Annie Moyer survives her husband as do eight sons. They are: William, of Bechtelsville; Frank, of near Chester; Warren, of Chester; Harvey, of Lima; Thomas and Roger, of Philadelphia; Edward, of Lansdale, and Raymond, of Bethlehem. There are also eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday.
