Elmer Drumheller, 62, a lifelong resident of Ringtown Valley, died this morning at Flick State Hospital, Cresson, near Pittsburgh, after a lingering illness.

A minor all his life, last employed at Hammond Colliery, this city, he had suffered from anthrasilicosis for the past several years.

The son of the late Charles and Diana Drumheller, he was born in Ringtown Valley and spent the greater part of his life there. He was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Sheppton.

Surviving are his wife, the former Ellen Fisher, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Elizabeth Carter, Sheppton; Mrs. Roy (Doris) Bennie, Camp Hill; Clayton Drumheller, Nuremberg; John Drumheller, Tamaqua; Selina, Faith and Donald at home; Francis, Stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany; Ira Van Horn, Fleetwood, Pa.; Mrs. Clarence (Alice) Foose, Ringtown RD; and Mrs. Frank (Fay) Lombardo, Sunland, California.

Twenty grandchildren and two brothers, Howard and Albert Drumheller. both of Sheppton, also survive, in addition to several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the family residence at Sheppton, followed by services in St. James United Church of Christ, Sheppton, with Rev. F.J. Heckman, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in Union cemetery, Brandonville. Friends may call at the residence Tuesday evening.

Pallbearers at the funeral of Elmer Drumheller , Sheppton , were Eugene Bond, Barry and Thomas Fox, James Antonelli, Joseph Shemani and Gary Croll.
