Dr. Joseph Aaronoff, 82, retired eye surgeon and former Oil City resident, died in St Petersburg, Fla., Monday, according to notification sent to The Derrick from St. Petersburg.
Dr. Aaronoff was a member of the American Legion in Oil City and the American Medical Association.
Funeral services will be held Sunday in Carlisle.
Joseph Aaronoff, born in Russia, arrived in the US in July 1895 and became a citizen of the US in June 1914.
Joseph and Kathryn were married December 1915 in PA.
