Services for Eloise Wise Gill Cavanaugh will be at 10 AM Monday in First Baptist Church, Pineville with Dr. Gary Baldwin and the Rev. B G Dyes officiating. Burial will be in Castor Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
Cavanaugh, 88, of Pineville died Saturday, Sept 23, 2000 in Hilltop Nursing Center, Pineville.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pineville where she taught Sunday School for 45 years and was active with the Baptist Women's Group. She was also an active member of the Faculty Wives Club at Louisiana College. She was a homemaker.
She was proceeded in death by one brother, Dr. D L Gill.
Survivors include her husband, Dr Charles J Cavanaugh Sr., of Pineville; five sons, Charles Johnson Cavanaugh, Jr. of Tyler Texas, Dr John Robert Cavanaugh of Lecompte, Richard Lynn Cavanaugh Sr. Of Trinity NC, Dr William Denzell Cavanaugh of Alexandria, and Dr David Albert Cavanaugh of Shreveport; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ken Johnson Sr, Billy Allgood, Dr Fred Hilburn, Dr Johnny Texada, Dr Joe Black, Eugene Cavanaugh, Dr Clark Sauls, and Dr Wesley Davis.
Friends may call from 4-10 PM today in the funeral home and from 9 AM until time of the services Monday in the church.
