Mrs. Brantly passed away Aug 8, 2013, at her residence. She was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church where she attended, even in her wheel chair, until she just couldn't go anymore. Mrs. Brantly was an active Sunday school teacher in Houston for many years and was loved by her 8th grade Sunday school girls.
She married Ernest Brantly on June 12, 1941 and raised her children in Shreveport, LA and Houston, TX.
Mrs. Brantly and her husband were avid Lady Techsters fans holding season tickets until their health declined.
Mrs. Brantly was preceded in death by her father, B. Levi Ramsey; mother, Ora Williams Ramsey; two brothers, two sisters, and husband, Ernest Brantly.
Survivors include sons, B. Lee Brantly of Angleton, TX, and Dennis L. Brantly of Houston, TX; daughter, Suellen B. Ryan of Beaufort, SC; sister, Mary Sue Sweet of Ruston, LA; brother-in-law, Cecil Harris of Memphis, TN; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Mike Hislop, Dr. Ed Coates, Jr., Donald Brown, Jason Brantly, and Paul Brantly. Visitation at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
