Kenneth Lee Hobbs, 69, dies from injuries in traffic wreck

Kenneth Lee Hobbs, 69, of North Vernon died at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital from injuries suffered in a traffic wreck.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Beginnings Assembly of God in Greensburg with the Rev. Mike Cunnington officiating. Calling is from noon. until time of service Saturday. Burial will be at Letts Cemetery in Decatur County.

Mr. Hobbs had worked at Country Chevrolet and Bowman Ford.

Born Aug. 12, 1936, he was the son of Andy and Iva Elliott Hobbs. He married Donna Stone on July 20, 1977. She survives.

Other survivors are six daughters, Sheila and Leah Hobbs and Shannon Frear of North Vernon, Emma Hobbs of New Mexico, and Kathy Hobbs and Teresa Johnson of Idaho; six sons, Randy, Matthew and Dennis Hobbs of North Vernon, Robert Hobbs of Idaho, and Tony and Brian Hobbs of Connecticut; two brothers, Danny Hobbs of Westport and Gerald Hobbs of Idaho; three sisters, Sally Smith of Westport, Mary Hardbeck of Shelbyville and Nancy Aulton of Idaho; 22 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Iva Hobbs; two brothers, Steve and Floyd Hobbs; and a sister, Jean Rozell.
