Born June 21. 1944, in Bradford, Pa., she was a daughter of Donald E. and Dorothy (Goodman) Swiger.
A Geneva resident since 1964, she had been employed as a clerk for Ohio Water Service and Geneva Federal Savings and Loan. She was secretary for the Grape JAMboree and enjoyed ceramics, bowling, crafts and camping. She graduated as an honor student from Bradford High School in 1962.
Survivors include her mother of Ashtabula; two sons, Thomas J. and Jeffrey Allen Merritt of Geneva; a sister, Teri Moser of Valdosta, Ga.: a brother, Lanny Swiger of Ashtabula: and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. Memorial service Is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kennedy Funeral Home, 323 S. Broadway. Geneva. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
