Frances Cosso, passed away peacefully at her home in Sierra Madre on June 5, 2009. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1915, she married William A. Cosso in 1949. They celebrated their 60th Anniversary this year. She was a delightful cook and baker as her mother had been--making family gatherings memorable with her marvelous desserts. The garden filled with her beautiful plants was another of her special joys. Above all, she was known for her thoughtful, loving ways. Family and those she met remember her sweet smile and gentle nature, and the southern drawl she never lost. Frances leaves behind her beloved husband, a son, William J. Cosso and his wife Letty, as well as her dear grandson, William M. Cosso. Treasured family members and friends also survive her. A sister and brother pre-deceased her. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 11, 10:30am, at Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, Los Angeles. Cabot & Sons, Pasadena.
