July 29, 1916- June 8, 2009. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father, brother, uncle, and friend. Alex passed away in Scottsdale, AZ on June 8, 2009. He would have been 93 years old in July. Born in Worcester, Mass. He lived in Canada, Seattle, and then Scottsdale, AZ since 1960. He was an honored World War II veteran serving in the 361st Army infantry in Europe 1942-1945. He worked many years in a lumber mill in Seattle, then as a warehouse manager in Phoenix, and in maintenance at ASU. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara "Bobby" Cameron. He was a talented athlete, bowler, and card player. His passing leaves a void that can only be filled with memories of: his love, kindness, generosity, honesty, unselfishness, and humbling attitude. He was a true gentleman. He is survived by son George Cameron and daughter-in-law Carol; daughter Barbara (Cameron) Bair and son-in-law Darryl, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters. The military service with honors will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, on Friday, June 12, 2009, at 12:30pm. Entrance on Pinnacle Peak Rd. East of Cave Creek Rd. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society .
