Born in Heidelberg Township, a son of the late Joseph and Tillie (Ernst) Bare, he had been employed by Glen Gery Shale Brick Corp. prior to his retirement.
A member of St. John's (Host) United Church of Christ, Tulpehocken Township, Bare is survived by his widow, Sallie (Troutman) Bare; a son, Ralph L., of this place; a grandson, Eugene R., and two brothers: Peter of Glenside, Reading, and Lewis of Mount Aetna.
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, Bernville, the Rev. Elmer A. Dech officiating. Burial will be in Host Church Cemetery.
