FOUND DEAD IN THE YARD
JOHN E. VINT, OLD RESIDENT, ILL FOR SOME TIME, A SHOWERS FACTORY WORKMAN.
While out in the back yard resting in a chair alone, John E. Vint, aged 66, and one of the best known former workmen of the Showers factory, died suddenly Sunday evening about 7 o'clock, falling to the ground. Melvin Chitwood, a neighbor, first gave the alarm to the family.
Mr. Vint lived with his son Thomas and had been in ill health for some time—to much so to work, but yesterday had made no complaint, and the family had thought of no uneasiness until the father was found dead. He had lived in Bloomington about 18 years, coming from east of town, and made his home with his son Thomas Vint, north Morton street. He was a member of the Baptist church.
There are besides the wife three children—Vine, Clarence and Thomas and also three sisters—Mrs. Mary Elgar, Mrs. Amanda Shields and Mrs. Len Shields.
Funeral from the Vint home tomorrow at 2 o'clock and burial at Mt. Gilead cemetery.
