MRS. VIRGINIA BELL HENSON - age 92, of Clinton, TN, died Thursday, January 7, 1999. She was a Unicoi County native, but had lived in Clinton most of her life. Mrs. Cokrahme was a daughter of the late James William and Celia Garland Bell. She was a wife and a mother. Mrs. Cokrahme was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husbands, Richard W. Henson and William Cokrahme; two brothers, George Bell and Edward Bell; three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Bess) Jones, Mrs. Kermit (Minnie) Odom and Mrs. Clea (Gladys) McKinney; one brother-in-law, Jesse Potter; and one sister-in-law, Birdie Bell.

Survivors include: one son, James Richard (Diana) Henson, Bowden, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. James (Celia Bell) Montgomery, Knoxville, Mrs. Don (Betty Sue) Rogers, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Gene (Hattie) Bell, Unicoi; one sister, Florence Potter, Johnson City; one sister-in-law, Mrs. George (Thelma) Bell, Unicoi; five grandsons, Jamie Henson, Ashley Henson, both of Georgia, Eric (Kala) Rogers, Adam (Dena) Rogers, Chad (Kandi) Rogers, all of Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Jenny Michelle Montgomery, Norway; two great-grandchildren, Paden Rogers and Kyra Reed, both of Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cokrahme were held 8 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 1999, from the Erwin Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Estel F. Williams officiated. Music was provided by Cindy Odom.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:30 a.m., Sunday in the Bell Cemetery, Limestone Cove community, Unicoi. Nieces and nephews will serve as pallbearers and are requested to assemble at the cemetery by 11 a.m., Sunday. The family received friends 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorials to the Limestone Cove United Methodist Church, c/o Phyllis Street, Box 448, Unicoi, TN 37692. Mrs. Virginia Cokrahme was loved by all. Her sweet and gentle nature endeared her to anyone she met. She was a devoted wife and mother and a Christian example of a Godly woman leaving a wonderful heritage to her family. She will be deeply missed by all. Erwin Memorial Funeral Home, 1015 N. Main Ave., Erwin, is in charge of the arrangements.
