Mildred Ellen Figg was the daughter of Rebecca Howerton Figg and Thomas Figg, who settled and farmed a piece of property just east of the intersection of Mt. Tabor and Delap Roads on the near north side of Ellettsville, Indiana.

Mildred had twelve siblings: Martha Ann Figg, Mary Jane Figg, Sely Figg, James William Figg, Sarah Ann Figg, Thomas Dudley Figg, Nancy (Nann) Luiza Figg, John Shepard Figg, Elizabeth Figg, Samuel Columbus Figg, Caroline Figg, and Rebecca Emeline Figg.

DEATH OF MRS. HEADDY

Mrs. Thomas Headdy died Tuesday night at 12 o'clock, after a long and painful illness. Funeral services were held this morning at 10:30 in charge of Pastor T. Libern Jones. Obituary will be published next week.

DEATH OF MILDRED ELLEN FIGG HEADDY

Mildred Ellen Figg was born in Shelby County, Kentucky, July 25, 1848. In early life, she became a member of the Baptist Church which she was a faithful member till the day of her death, which occurred just after midnight on the morning of Wednesday, December 28, 1910. Age at death 62 years, 5 months, 3 days.

She was married to Thomas Headdy on July 22, 1867. To this union were born seven children one of whom died in infancy. The six living children are Charles Albert Headdy of Ellettsville, Mrs. Carrie Elizabeth May of Beanblossom Township, Cyrus Homer Headdy of Beanblossom Township; Thomas Dalas Headdy of Beanblossom Township; William Walter Headdy and James Herman Headdy of Ellettsville.

Besides these children there remain the husband, Thomas Headdy, and the two brothers and two sisters and a host of relatives and friends who mourn the loss of Mrs. Headdy.

The brothers and sisters, Mrs. Nancy Jane Cowden of Bean Blossom Township, Dr. John S. Figg of Spencer, Samuel C. Figg of Bean Blossom Township, and Mrs. Caroline May of Ellettsville are all that remain out of thirteen brothers and sisters.

During a portion of her life and especially the last three years, Mrs. Headdy has been an invalid, suffering severely at times. But in all she exhibited a Christian fortitude which was at once a lesson and an encouragement to those who knew her.

A loving mother, a faithful wife, a true kinswoman and sincere friend--in all a Christian--she has passed to rest and her works do follow her.

Services were held at First Baptist Church, Ellettsville. Pastor Jones conducting the service. Interment was at the Presbyterian Cemetery, Ellettsville.
